Sept 15 – Sept 20 Fish Report

Hi Anglers, an open party trip with anglers from Colorado, Arizona, California, Nevada, Florida and Idaho just returned from a successful fishing trip aboard the Tony Reyes, on the Sea of Cortez, Mexico. Tony says they had a great trip, even though there were strong currents and a full moon. Extra weight was needed in order to get down to the reefs, but the bite bite was on once you got down to the reef. Live bait and Yellowtails were caught in the San Fransiquito area. The Yellowtail were caught on jigs, medium knife jigs worked well. The Dorado are still biting well, and you can have your fill of Bass on cut bait. Some medium size Black Seabass were landed at Refugio, with big Pargo and Grouper being caught around Enchanted Islands along two Rooster Fish.

The group enjoyed BBQ of Carne Asada and Fish, in addition to Ceviche after a cooling swim. The weather is cooling down and Tony says it was an overall good trip.

Tight lines, Tom Ward, The Longfin
